Preheat Oven:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Chickpeas:Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly. Spread them on a clean kitchen towel and pat dry. Removing as much moisture as possible helps them crisp up better in the oven.

Season the Chickpeas:Transfer the dried chickpeas to a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper over the chickpeas. Mix well to ensure each chickpea is coated with the seasoning.
